Prior
My career began in academic research, specifically public health, before transitioning to design and engineering. I contributed to early-onset Alzheimer's research at the New York State Department of Health and conducted studies in the lab of Dr. Richard Stephens at UCSF and UC Berkeley, where I helped develop assays to quantify in vitro host cell infections, engineered custom antibodies using scFv technology, and explored the role of heparin sulfate in chlamydia infections. Since leaving academia, I have continued to work in life sciences as I believe in the vital role of science in shaping the world.
